McBeth Shorthorns
Gerry and Betty Wyatt started McBeth Shorthorns in 2004 after many successful years raising Angus cattle under the herd name GBT Angus.
We decided to raise Shorthorn cattle because of the long and exciting history of the breed, the reputation for calving ease, fertility, growth ability, temperament and carcass quality, the increased acceptance of Shorthorn genetics by commercial cattlemen and the great people that are involved with the breed. We believe the Shorthorn time has arrived and we are very happy to have become part of it.
We sold our farm in the spring of 2010, retired and now reside at Whitebear Resort, 10 minutes north of Carlyle, SK. We retained what we feel are our best cows and moved them to Anwender Cattle Co. at Radville, SK. Armchair calving is pretty nice. We appreciate the fine care our cattle receive at Gary and Kim’s. Gerry sits on the Board of Directors and Betty is Secretary Treasurer of the Saskatchewan Shorthorn Association, thus keeping in touch with not only the Saskatchewan breeders and cattle but those across Canada. We hope to contribute to the Shorthorn breed for many years to come. Although not in a farm situation we welcome any and all to our table for a coffee, soup or sandwich, and to chat cattle at any time.

Uluru Shorthorns commenced operations in 2005.
The goal is to maintain a small herd of high quality, purebred Shorthorn cows that are moderate, but not too small in size, docile, structurally correct, performance oriented and appealing to look at. The objective is to raise quality Shorthorn seed stock that will be of interest to both the purebred and commercial breeders alike. Sires noted for calving ease and reasonable birth weights will be preferred.

During the few years I have been involved with this cattle venture I have met many people who have been very generous with their time and support and this is greatly appreciated.
